NCL will kick off the New Year with a series that we hope will set a tone for refocusing on doing everything humanly possible to heal our society at every level of our being: body, mind, and soul. The healing starts with recognizing what is truly human within each of us, and the importance of embracing our differences as an important part of the whole.
Part 1: Where God Speaks To Us
In our journey towards possibility, towards our full humanity, where is the place where God speaks to us? Join us we uncover ways to hear that voice anew, hearing it as individuals and as a community.
Sunday January 3, 10:30am
Part 2: Connecting Through What We Share
In times highly divided, again and again we must call one another towards what we share. Language that divides is easy. Languages and actions that connect, though, call us to a more difficult but ultimately more fulfilling living choice. Join us as we look deeply into our shared, God-given humanity.
Sunday January 10, 10:30am
Part 3: Learning to Stand and Kneel
Our journey into recovering human possibility is bound to fail at times. Churches and other institutions will fail. Yet there is an arc to the moral universe. We need to learn the art of both learning how to take a stand and learning how to remain humble at the same time. Join us this Rev. Martin Luther King Day weekend as we close our series. “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matt. 19:26).
