When we live in the deep freedom that God gives, joy rises from the very ground of our being. Life’s worst days can shake us, yet even there God holds every moment, weaving meaning through heartbreak and connection. I’ve seen it again and again over time, we rediscover a richer joy, one born of belonging, of shalom, of the wholeness that embraces both our scars and our celebrations. Joy flows when our loves move outward toward others, and when we see life as a gift to be carried forward, all its chapters intact. With age, many of us find ourselves leaning toward the light, recalling what is good, and in that turning, catching glimpses of God’s enduring beauty in all things.
