Protecting What is Good

28th, March 2025

Description

Today, we reflect on the deep truth that God always protects what is good, even when life feels turbulent or uncertain. Drawing from the story of Lot’s escape from a crumbling city (Genesis 19), let’s explore how God lovingly reaches into the “bad paradigms” of our lives—especially in the hearts of teens and adults who feel they don’t measure up—and pulls forward the good within us to a safer, freer space. Just like the angels grabbed Lot’s hand and led him out, the Lord is constantly working, often unseen, to lead our inner goodness away from false beliefs and into healing light. As Swedenborg teaches, “what is good from the Lord is constantly being saved” even when appearances suggest otherwise (Secrets of Heaven §2406). We’re invited to recognize this divine work in ourselves and others, becoming companions in that rescue—walking each other gently toward more wholeness, love, and life.
