What To Love in a Wedding
8th, August 2025Description
Weddings are holy thresholds, those rare moments when life tilts into a brand new chapter. In minutes, two lives move from “before” to “after” and heaven leans in. Yes, there may be forgotten rings or unpredictable weather, yet beneath the laughter and the tears is something eternal. In the New Church, we speak of conjugial love. A love designed by God to last forever. And I love the image of two angels walking each other home. That’s what I see from the best seat in the house: the couple before me, the gathered faces beyond them, and the quiet, powerful knowing that people matter deeply to one another. In those moments, meaning and community come alive, filling the room with joy that is both ancient and new. It is a glimpse of heaven’s order here on earth, and a reminder that what God has yoked together carries the promise of eternity.
