Letting Truth Grow
4th, February 2026Description
We have to let truth grow in our lives. Today I invite us into a living experience of truth. Rather than a fixed conclusion, truth unfolds, because “truth is not like a point, it’s a portal.” Over time, it widens into a web of understanding as God gently leads us through divine providence. Swedenborg teaches that genuine truth comes gradually, and I see this echoed in life itself, where earlier understandings quietly give way to deeper ones. Still, certainty can feel comforting, especially when we are younger, yet Anne Lamott wisely observes that “certainty is the opposite of faith.” By contrast, faith stays open. It says, this is my perspective, and I truly want to hear yours. Because of that openness, trust grows. Even when outcomes remain hidden, God continues guiding all things toward good. So I encourage curiosity, listening, and humility. Above all, hold fast to the enduring truths. Life is good. God is present. And, through the eyes of eternity, love wins.
