Swedenborg writes that “kindred souls in heaven gravitate towards each other spontaneously” and feel “with their own family at home,” and I think we catch a glimpse of that heaven here on earth when we sit with someone who helps us feel deeply known. We feel like we are reading from the same playbook, guided by a shared compass of love and service, while still honoring the distinct life, loves, perspective, and gifts each person brings.
