How do angels solve problems? I keep coming back to the image of working “in the round,” with different voices gathered around the same question. Swedenborg describes heaven as a community shaped by love and wisdom, and that vision challenges me to listen more deeply here on earth. I see it in our sermon writing team, where people have brought their perspectives to the table for nearly twenty years. I see how much it matters when a community faces a decision that will affect its high schools. The work takes time. Slower is faster, though I need that reminder as much as anyone. A leader may still have to make a difficult call, but every person deserves to feel heard. So when a problem has me circling inside my own thoughts, I try to ask, “Who do I talk to?” One more conversation can open the world in amazing ways.
