Show Us Empathy

Description

Deep inside our souls we all harbor a certain tenderness. We can be asleep to it. We can bury it … but it is still there, a precious gift protected by God.

That is important to remember when relationships are strained. And at times we will need to pray, “Lord show us the empathy we need to truly see them.”

There is great importance in small, tender moments and memories, known in NewChurch theology as ‘remains’ – which are states of goodness and truth instilled in us by God.

Create memories for others and empathize with everyone’s experiences. Recognize the beauty within individuals and pray for empathy in challenging relationships.
