Arsonists or Architects?
2nd, October 2025Description
Here’s my heart today: I invite us to choose “architects versus arsonists,” because the quick spark that wants to “burn it all to the ground” rarely serves the many, while true building blesses generations; Choose to be the architect. To listen, gather wisdom, draw plans, and build for your kids and grandkids’ joy. Spiritual architecture takes patience and use. We can deconstruct what harms, then bravely reconstruct what is good and useful, because love becomes real only in forms that serve the neighbor (Heaven and Hell 268–269; Divine Love and Wisdom 230). As Gandhi said, “plant a tree under which you may never sit.” I see church that way. We keep what is truly alive, we reform what needs mending, and with the Lord’s leading we build something that lasts.
