Letting the Questions Grow

This morning let’s reflect on the spiritual power of letting the questions grow. How our journey toward truth deepens as we shift from self-centered questions like “What do I like?” to soul-opening ones like “What is life asking of me?” or “How can I serve with love today?” In celebrating baptisms this weekend, I’m reminded that parenting, like spiritual life, must be rooted in something larger than opinion. It must rest on eternal truth. As Swedenborg writes, divine truth is not merely abstract but is “the form of heaven in the human mind” (Heaven and Hell §523). When we hold space for deeper, open-ended questions, we create a gentle way of being, one that invites connection, humility, and growth. May we all allow these questions to soften our edges and draw us nearer to God, who is infinite love and wisdom.
