Living Heaven Now

At the close of our South Africa journey, I keep thinking about a quiet surprise in ministry: people often hear what their souls need most. In fact, one person told me, with chills, “we could actually experience heaven now… that we could live heaven now.” That insight captures the heart of our faith. Heaven is near, and we begin practicing it today. So “as in heaven, so upon the earth” becomes a daily choice. As we repent, forgive, and take responsibility, we open space for the Lord to enter. Then come small glimpses, those “God winks,” that feel unmistakably eternal. Swedenborg teaches that heaven forms wherever love flows into useful service, guided by wisdom (Heaven and Hell 13, 25). Therefore, heaven rises within ordinary life through connection, purpose, and intention. Even on hard days, the invitation remains. Be still. Stay open. Know that He is God.
