The Art of Enough

Description

The art of “enough” means coming to know the difference between “enough” and “more.” I know the worries that tag along with money, because they touch security, opportunity, kids, the whole thing. Yet I watch how God clears our sight over time. As Secrets of Heaven §2961 says, “The cloud of ignorance breaks up gradually… truth is confirmed and strengthened… goodness is perfected as we absorb knowledge of that truth,” and in that maturing we begin to perceive that God is in charge and we are not. I am making a shift in these later chapters of life, moving from “How do I get more” to “Do I have enough,” and I feel the peace that follows. Your Father knows that you have need of these things. So we follow the peace, friends. We let shalom set the pace, we find that breathing place, and we give thanks. Contentment becomes a gift, faith grows, love deepens, and gratitude rounds out the day.
