Too Hurried and We Will Miss It

Here’s my heart this morning: I invite us to slow down and walk with the three mile per hour God. I read in Secrets of Heaven 2967 that “bodily demands… of self-love and materialism must be put to rest” so heavenly goodness and truth can flow in, and that we are reformed “in accord with our state and ability.” God’s love and wisdom are constant. Always here. As I like to say, “God can’t even frown on us.” When we hurry we skim past life. “What you look for determines what you will miss.” So I try to practice the gentle pace of Jesus, setting aside the bright shiny pennies for a living connection. It takes time to visit, time to connect, time for silence, time to be off our phones. Let’s choose a slower rhythm and discover the beauty right in front of us.
