Two Words for Hard Times

When life feels like an unfinished symphony, I invite us to hold onto two small, powerful words: “and yet.” Some hopes remain unmet, and some hard seasons leave us searching for our footing. And yet, God is with us. I believe the Lord sees a bigger picture than the one before us, full of meaning, beauty, grace, mercy, and love. We do not need to solve every sorrow or force life into a neat pattern. Sometimes we simply take a breath, notice the sky, receive the love of a friend, and remember: “Be still and know that I am God.” Over time, those words can open our eyes to gratitude and to the good news still present in this world.
