What Does God See?
9th, July 2025Description
Today I reflect on the question, “What does God see?” And I believe the answer is full of comfort. When we ask, “God, give me your eyes to see this,” we’re not just wishing for optimism; we’re inviting His vision into our own, a vision anchored in the endless potential He sees in every single human soul. As Swedenborg reminds us, God’s peace rests in this truth: that the spiritual will multiply like the stars of heaven and the sands of the sea (Secrets of Heaven §2661). Even when we face problems, we’re invited to be like Abraham – who, after the test, receives consolation not from certainty, but from the promise of future good. And that’s God’s way. He doesn’t dwell on despair but always works from love for the entire human race, seeing what can be, not just what is. I ask you, gently – what if you held onto that dream today? Not to ignore the problems, but to anchor yourself beyond them. That’s where peace begins.
