God… Less of me. More of You.

This morning I’m reflecting on the deep connection between humility and true spiritual freedom. The short prayer, “God, less of me, more of You,” carries us there, clearing away distortions in how we see ourselves and opening space for the gifts God planted within us. Humility isn’t shrinking back, it’s seeing clearly, neither inflated nor diminished, and letting that clarity shape how we meet others. When we approach life with curiosity, a virtue that dissolves judgment, we start discovering rather than condemning. And in that posture, we no longer chase approval through other people’s eyes, but live from the person God created us to be. That’s where freedom breathes, where we shift from being the hero of our own story to the servant in God’s, finding joy in the awe and value of every soul we meet.
