Swedenborg reminds us that “nothing except truth receives goodness… and therefore the character of the light it transmits” (Secrets of Heaven 3094), which means real sight is born when love and truth meet and begin to shine. This kind of seeing reaches beneath circumstances, beyond assumptions, into the tender weave of someone’s joy and sorrow, where transformation quietly begins. It asks something of us. We loosen our grip on judgments, release the need to shape outcomes, and allow a gentle clarity to form. Just the simple seeing. That alone can awaken another soul, and in the same breath, our own.
