There is a Plan
17th, April 2026Description
Life can look like a complete mess sometimes. I see it in my own world, walking through a house mid-renovation with my kids, tools and debris everywhere, piles of what was and what will be, and yet somehow, I can still see what the house will be like. That vision matters. It steadies us. Swedenborg captures this beautifully when he writes that before regeneration is complete, our lives resemble a house under construction, where “everything appears confused and disordered,” yet in time “all things are disposed in order, and life becomes beautiful” (Divine Providence 71). So I hold onto that. Even when unexpected problems surface, even when the plan shifts, I trust that God is quietly arranging something good beneath the surface. Wherever you find yourself, in the tear-out, somewhere in the middle, or nearing completion, keep going. Hold the vision. Let it carry you forward.
