Faith As Patience
23rd, June 2026Description
In this message, I sit with a simple phrase that keeps opening up: “faith as patience.” Faith asks us to breathe, do our part, and remember, God’s got this, even when life feels heartbreakingly unfair or unfinished. Swedenborg gives us a beautiful picture in Secrets of Heaven 2493, where angels hold less anxiety about the past and future because “the Lord shows them what to think” and supplies what they need “from moment to moment.” That does not make hard things easy. Still, it invites us to practice heaven now by bringing love into the present moment. Revelation promises “no more crying, no more tears,” and maybe faith means trusting that every former thing can slowly pass away in God’s time. So today we practice patience. We practice presence. We remember, “God is good. Life is good. God is your friend.”
