Be the Blessing
1st, September 2026Description
I begin this week with a simple question: what does blessing really mean? Gratitude matters. I can wake up, look at life, and say, “I just feel blessed,” even through difficult circumstances. Yet the Lord’s promise to Abram in Genesis points me further: “You will be a blessing.” Swedenborg reminds us that heavenly life takes shape in loving usefulness, as we offer our God-given gifts for the good of others. I do that with great humility and great care and great wisdom, knowing I am an imperfect human being with imperfect tools. Still, I can step forward in a loving, selfless way. Count your blessings. Be grateful. Then let God help you become a blessing in someone else’s life.
