Clarity and Alignment

Today, we reflect on the powerful Gospel truth: “You will know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” We often think of truth as a distant ideal, but what if it’s something more intimate—a daily practice of honesty rooted in spiritual clarity? Truth frees us not just on a theological level, but in the real, everyday ways we show up with each other. It helps us move from appearance to alignment, from ego to integrity. Swedenborg teaches that divine truth “frees us from the illusions of the senses” (Secrets of Heaven §1947), and I believe that starts with practicing truth in loving, safe spaces where both speaking and hearing the truth are held sacred. As we align more fully with our inner moral compass—not the winds of reputation, but the steady voice of God—we find a calm strength and deep clarity that liberate our lives and relationships.
