Find the Opportunity in the Day
25th, April 2025Description
In this morning’s reflection, consider the power of living forward—not trapped in past fears, but centered in present love. Drawing from the story of Lot’s wife and Swedenborg’s Secrets of Heaven (§2454), we explore the spiritual danger of “looking back”—of fixating on doctrine and past information rather than moving forward into a life of goodness. Let’s discuss the practical and freeing tool of “aim and frame,” encouraging us to set our sights on love and to frame our days around the opportunities the Lord places right in front of us. Rather than feeding the fire of fear with old memories, we’re called to be open-hearted in the now—to see today as our sacred chance to express compassion, even in simple interactions. “Find the opportunity in today and the Lord will give it to you—probably within the next thirty minutes.” This gentle wisdom reminds us that regeneration is always possible when we let go of fear and walk forward in love.
