Finding Greater Joy
14th, July 2026Description
Most of us want more happiness, more joy, but how do we move from something pleasant into a life that feels deeply alive? I believe the bridge of reciprocity carries us there. God does not want to give us joy in crumbs. He offers a fullness of joy that grows through meaningful exchange with Him, with one another, and with nature. Swedenborg’s teaching on correspondences helps us recognize this sacred back-and-forth, as the natural world co-responds to spiritual reality and draws us into connection at every level of life. Jesus shows us this rhythm beautifully, stepping away for solitude and returning to relationship. A quiet moment alone can feed the soul, while dinner with friends, a shared walk, or time together can carry joy into deeper places. Even simple pleasures belong. So today, be on the search for a little reciprocity. When you find it, lean into it, live into it, and receive the greater joy God longs to share.
