Heaven Is Capacious and Generous

I find real hope in the Swedenborgian vision of heaven as a “capacious and generous” place, full of human beings whose loves are finding their right order. We are angels in training, learning our gifts, accepting our limits without self-loathing, and making room for one another. Swedenborg teaches that variety is part of perfection, so every unique love and perspective can strengthen the harmony of heaven. That work begins now. “As in heaven, so upon the earth” invites us to widen our circles, welcome people in, and let generosity move love outward. When we live from our best intention, time can seem to disappear, and love keeps growing into eternity.
