Living Heaven on Earth

Description

What if the person we hope to become in heaven begins taking shape in the choices we make today? You are an “angel in training.” That beautiful Swedenborgian idea invites us to see God’s divine providence as a loving movement toward heaven, drawing who we are today closer to who we are becoming. Heaven centers on love, care, and useful service. Where does your heart come alive? Who do you feel called to serve? As we explore those questions, our eternal future begins to find expression in our everyday lives, in the care we offer and the communities we help create. The whole point is to live heaven now. Each act of love gives us a way to practice the prayer, “as in heaven, so upon the earth.”
