Nine Times Out of Ten
5th, November 2025Description
Morning friends. I share why I keep practicing connection, even when it falls flat and is not always successful, but it does always matter. I read Swedenborg on the form of heaven where “everyone is a kind of center” and joy circulates according to love, a living network that grows as the Lord’s kingdom grows. Heaven is communion; isolation feels like hell. As a professor once told me, “Heaven is where you become more connected to all eternity. Hell is where you become more isolated to all eternity.” So I keep leaning in. Nine times out of ten it works. One time it doesn’t. I still choose the loving thing and leave the results to God. This is how we practice heaven here and now, through small, sincere gestures. Christianity is a relational faith; connection is the craft of our discipleship.
