You Will Be Happier If….

Today I’m inviting us to reflect on our touchstones—those everyday moments or practices that center us in something deeper, more joyful, and more connected to the divine. In a time that often feels like an “age of outrage,” we can choose instead to anchor ourselves in what Swedenborg describes as the Lord gently drawing out the goodness within us (Secrets of Heaven §2397). Whether it’s morning calm, a meaningful conversation, or sharing a meal with friends, our touchstones shape our spiritual direction. They can lift us toward heaven, or pull us away. Let’s choose the ones that bear witness to love, truth, and the quiet joy that God is always trying to grow in us. “God’s forever looking at the goodness that’s within us and starting to pull that forward.” May we see that work in our lives—and choose touchstones that bring us home.
