The Enchantment of Everyday Life
17th, September 2026Description
Today I invite us to recover a little enchantment. Swedenborg writes in Heaven and Hell that angels see “the inherent life in all things,” and that is the kind of sight we grow into when heaven opens within us. A child’s wonder, a grandchild’s laughter, the wisdom that emerges when we become truly curious about one another, even the helpers who appear in hard seasons, all point to a world teeming with life. Take a breath. Set the rehearsed problems aside for a few minutes and look again. As we grow still, we may find that life is far more alive, connected, and miraculous than we remembered.
