Three Words That Can Improve Any Relationship
8th, July 2026Description
In this message, I invite us to practice three small words that can soften almost any relationship: “Tell me more.” In the story of Rebecca and Isaac, we hear the ancient phrase, “Tell me, and if not, tell me,” and it opens a window into holy curiosity. Swedenborg gives us the deeper spiritual frame: “When truth is united with goodness, we are enjoying a condition of freedom.” That freedom changes how we listen. We stop arguing our case. We let love hold the truth with clarity and openness. When someone feels truly loved, they feel truly seen. So today we practice statement, question. We quiet the attorney in our head. We “seek first to understand, then 24 hours later to be understood,” trusting that the Lord’s love always protects freedom, invites honesty, and leads us toward real connection.
